How To Buy Last Mile

Telecom carriers spend billions of dollars in building backbone networks; Last Mile in telecom industry is the last leg of connectivity from the backbone.

There are several technologies to deliver last mile depending up on capacity requirement:

  • Plain Old Telephone Systems (POTS)
  • ISDN, somewhat faster technology than regular phone service
  • Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)
  • Wireless
  • Optical Fibre and its transmission technologies

Incumbents develop last Mile network in every country and it is a challenging job since, it requires permissions from local authorities.

Telco’s generally depend on each other for providing last mile connectivity. Most of telecoms companies send RFQ (request for quote) to other service providers which are present in that territory/country with local fibre network.

This traditional method provides a challenge if you don’t know the local service providers in that territory/country.

At TelcoXchange, we are trying to solve this problem by providing a common platform to all global telecoms carriers, where they can publish their last mile network routes and buyers can access to these available routes.

So, if you wish to promote your network you can upload your domestic/international network routes on the other hand if you wish to buy last mile you can search on TelcoXchange and connect with service providers.

You can send a broadcast of WTB (want to buy), WTS (want to sell) or RFQ (request for quote) to other service providers as per your requirements.

We are very excited to invite you to join us and look forward for your participating soon.
